What a short week,last Saturday updates

What a short week, i finally have time to upload some photos from last weekend.

Nanny's Wedding Day at Kampar , Perak.Nice blue...

Back to KL,drop by the famous cupcakes Wondermilk at Damansara Utama.The Union of 3 bestfren which are Interior designer,graphic designer and bakery master if i am not mistaken..Good job!

At nite, My craving for Salmon sushi .My first try at Sakae Sushi,IOI.I can say of all sushi restaurant in malaysia,this is the best and closest to japan's sushi.80% la.anyway i still miss japan's sushi.so fresh and sweet..

Computerized ordering system.I think its funny to see anip browing the menu by using mouse..jepun pun tak hitech camni..raw salmon sushi at last we meet.

And bowling with new fellows..accidently strike several times.opps..

What is Generation X and Y?

I have been reading several articles about this from internet. So what is the Gen X and Y is all about?Hereby are some fact and info i extrated and mix up from those articles.

Generation Y are those born from the80's onwards.

• 90% of Gen Y own a computer (I would have expected it to be a little higher)
• 82% own a mobile phone (the most tech savvy of any generation. )
• 72% of Generation Y mobile phone users send or receive SMS messages
• They spend more time online than they do watching television, with 42% watching online video at least once per month.
• It’s fascinating to read about Gen Y’s expectations. They do not believe in becoming slaves to any company; they will not be bound by the steady drip of a weekly paycheck and fervently believe in pursuing the best opportunities for themselves, even if that means changing jobs two or three times a year. They do not want to climb any ladder, corporate or otherwise.
• Another great perk: engineers are expected to set aside 20% of their time to work on projects of their own choosing.
• "Generation Y is 50% bigger than Generation X, and with Xers dropping out of the workforce to take care of their children, employees, not management, have the power and even a recession won’t slow down the job market. Generation Y has the same confidence, the same ambition and the same savviness as Generation X had in their twenties, but the demographics are in Gen Y’s favor. Y can ask for change and actually get it."

Generation X are those born circa 1965-1980 and associated with the Reagan era and the go-go 90s.

• It’s those Gen Xers — those 30 and 40 year olds who thought they would be the ones to transform the world once the old dinosaurs ahead of them died – who see the usurpers as selfish, pushy and downright rude.
• Gen Xers had the poor luck to enter the workforce at a time that would become a squeeze play. They entered into the heirarchical corporate structure, began paying their dues, learned to adapt to the Web world and waited for their turn. They got married, had kids, became soccer moms and dads in their 30s and 40s. And still they waited for their turn.
• However, Gen X was not able to affect the change it had envisioned. Ryan Healey, a recent college grad who founded his own Gen Y online community called Brazen Careerist."Generation X was simply too small to force any kind of change. There are about 50 million Gen Xers in the United States compared to nearly 76 million baby boomers and 77 million Millennials. When Gen Xers graduated college, the jobs were not there. With only 50 million people to fill the positions, and plenty of boomers around to fill the middle management jobs, companies had their pick of candidates. Employers took advantage by hiring only the top candidates and paying them as little as possible.

From the above statement we can understand why we are so different from our parent and grandparent.This is all about mindset, lifestyle and culture that has changed impact from the enviroment and technology around us.There are so many more differences in our own culture,The malaysian if u realize

• The lifestyle,Our parent wake up early in the morning prepare breakfast which i think our generation rarely do this.
• Generatation Y are more outspoken ,firm ,confident with our own stand and decision.Quite stubborn actually.
• The woman from Generation Y are more competitive to male or i can say the right and treatment that given to us are same .Lady bos is normal nowdays.
• Generation Y ,Husband and wife are equal.Both work and pay the bills.House chores is no longer so called "wife job's".
• Nowdays ,job hopping is become normal.Everybody want move fast and upgrade themself rather that waiting to climb ladder or corporate.
• Generation Y use technology to support "lifestyle needs".(Cant live without mobile phone)

Well, although we are quite hi-tech from the gen X there are also some quality that missing.The Gen Y are less dicipline( wake up late in the morning) and so addicted to changes.But I must say i like to be in the Gen Y because we(woman) are given the same right and oppurtunities like a man.And not to forget there are also the GenX man in GenY era and vice versa.

So what our next generation will be look alike?
